App usage
DocuSign for Jira main job is to connect Jira to the external application DocuSign, allowing you to sign PDF attachments from within Jira Issue. You can decide where to place your electronic signature. You can also use the automatic signature locator, assign specific global or local coordinates and the application will designate all the specified locations. There is possibility to save the source file, finish signing later, cancel signing or track the signing history of the document.
The wizard is basically limited to one view, which includes:
a field for selecting the PDF attachment to be signed
a field for selecting the type of signature
a field to select the location of the signature - a choice between manual and automatic location.
If there is something you do not understand, you can always use the guide (purple icon with a question mark), which explains how the application works in a simple and user-friendly way.
Settings
App need to be configured by Jira Administrator to allow certain Jira users to sign document with it. Before that, you will need to create an account (DocuSign account creation ) with individual ID numbers on the DocuSign website generate the appropriate access key and pair them with the DocuSign for Jira app: DocuSign initial setup .
Only then will your Jira administrator be able to fill in:
Credentials
It contains details from DocuSign such as Api Account ID, Integration Key, DocuSign Base URL, type of account, RSA key generated in DocuSign account.
User settings
This section is responsible for connecting the Jiry user to the DocuSign user.
DocuSign request permissions
It requests permission to use DocuSign from this particular Jira account.
When user is connected with app, new option “Sign with DocuSign” will appear in more action menu after opening certain issue:

Features
Global Envelope configuration
It is responsible for automatically detecting the location of the signature. These settings can be completed during initial setup or later. They can be set/changed by the administrator at any time. With envelope configuration you can establish “Anchor String”, that will be relevant to the automatic location of the signature. You will also need to specify the "Position from anchor on X-axis" and "Position from anchor on Y-axis" values that determine the distance of the signature from the Anchor String.
Local Envelope Configuration
Alternatively, users can opt for their own local settings and fill in all the required fields such as Anchor String, Position from Anchor on X-axis and Position from Anchor on Y-axis with their own data.
Keep original document
One convenience is the ability to save a copy of the original document before signing it.
DocuSign signing history
A section where you will be able to check the actions related to signing/canceling/stopping a document.
