Jira: Server, Data Center, Cloud

If you are set as reporter and assignee in Scheduled Issue, when issue gets created you might miss notification about task being created.

What can be done:

  • Change user settings, to be notified on self made changes - poor solution, you will still get notification on other issue creation not only created by The Scheduler

  • Change reporter in SI - this way, it will look like issue was created by that user and you are set as assignee

  • Create dedicated user for The Scheduler - this way, Scheduler will be as reporter not affecting other users. This is quite good idea to keep app actions as a separate user

  • Create filter subscription for created by app issues - quite easy and might serve the purpose

To create a filter subscription:

  1. First you need to adequate filter, getting issues created by app (or combine it with other issues). To find issues created by app you need to use our Dedicated JQL functions

  2. Modify filter to your needs

  3. Set up filter subscription: https://confluence.atlassian.com/jirasoftwareserver/working-with-search-results-939938808.html#Workingwithsearchresults-subscribeSubscribingtoyoursearchresults

For any issues with notification, please use built in Notification Helper:
