The Scheduler now has a feature to select author of auto generated comments in issues generated by workflow triggers. Previously there was only an anonymous author there.

IMPORTANT NOTE → Anonymous will appear as author if the selected user in some project does not have proper adding comment permission or for some reason getting the right user fails.

Possible options:

  • Scheduled Issue creator

  • Scheduled Issue reported

  • Scheduled Issue assignee

  • User with permissions to create comments or anonymous

  • Author from global settings (possible in project settings view by clicking on restore button or when editing in project is disabled)Creator

  • Owner

  • Assignee

  • Reporter

  • User

  1. Create Scheduled Issue with workflow trigger type and your desired issue type, source and target status.

...

2. Execute this Scheduled Issue to create Issue

...

Change created issue status

...
