  • Since Jira 7.2.0  there is no possibility to export issues to Excel. For more information please check here. This happened in response to a Microsoft Security update that stopped Excel files from opening correctly.
  • There is a workaround, so this feature can be again turned on, however it is highly unrecommenedunrecommended.

The below manual is valid only for Project Management Software, till the 7.1.9 version.

  • First, generate an Excel workbook using JIRA Issue Navigator
    • Open the downloaded file using MS Excel

    • Navigate to Excel Connector for JIRA ribbon (1) and click Login to JIRA button and enter your credentials. Click Connect (2) and then OK on Confirmation dialog.

    • Important! When asked if you want to replace the file, make sure to click Yes

    • Excel sheet generated from JIRA will be replaced with sheet generated by Excel Connector, preserving all the issues from the original sheet
