Deactivating app in selected projects
In version 6.8.0, we introduced a new feature that allows you to deactivate the Scheduler for individual projects.
To access it, follow the path: Settings > Manage Apps > Scheduler > Active Projects.
In this article, we will discuss the aspects and ways to use this new function.
Effects of Deactivating a Project
If you deactivate a project in The Scheduler settings, you will be unable to:
Execute Scheduled Issues, whether triggered manually or via the configured triggers.
Create, view, edit, and delete Scheduled Issues
Export or import Scheduled Issues
Access The Scheduler option in the project sidebar menu
See in the Issue details whether it was created by The Scheduler
Modify the project settings related to The Scheduler
Hide the TSP tab from the project menu (in a deactivated project)
Clicking on the “Change Project Active State” button will change it from a green check mark to a grayed-out cross, effectively deactivating the Scheduler in the project and hiding the Scheduled Issues tab from it.
The project can be easily reactivated in the same way:
Now the “Scheduled Issues” tab will be again visible:
Hide SIs from deactivated project in the SI table
Deactivating the project will also remove all its Scheduled Issues from the “Manage Scheduled Issues” tab without the need for manual deactivation.
Before deactivating the “Software” project:
And after:
All the project’s Scheduled Issues can be easily restored by simply reactivating the project.
Stop executing already created SIs in deactivated project
Deactivating a project will also stop the Scheduled Issues from executing without deactivating them. After re-enabling the project, they will execute as before - no additional action needed.
Hide deactivated projects from the “Statistics” page
All data regarding each project will effectively disappear from the “Statistics” page once such project is deactivated. Before:
And after deactivating the project “Main”:
