Session Timer
The Session Timer is a visual indicator in the Excel 365 Connector for Jira Cloud that shows how much time remains before the user’s session expires. It works similarly to the progress indicator shown during verification processes, displaying the exact remaining time in real time.
The Session Timer indicates how long users can stay away from Excel before their session expires and their progress may be lost.
The session timer clock (1) is placed in the menu on the left side of the panel.
Hovering over the clock displays a tooltip (2)

When the session is close to expiring, the clock is blinking to draw the user’s attention.
The session timer’s color indicates the urgency of the remaining session time (3), (4), (5):
Color | Condition |
|---|---|
🔵 Blue
| Default color when the session has sufficient time remaining |
🟡 Yellow
| 5 minutes or less remaining |
🔴 Red
| 2 minutes or less remaining |
