Using JIRA-generated sheet [3.3.x]

Important!

  • Since Jira 7.2.0  there is no possibility to export issues to Excel. For more information please visit this page. This happened in response to a Microsoft Security update that stopped Excel files from opening correctly.

  • There is a workaround, so this feature can be again turned on, however it is highly unrecommended.

The following manual is valid only for Jira below 7.2 version.

  • First, generate an Excel workbook using JIRA Issue Navigator

    • Open the downloaded file using MS Excel

    • Navigate to Excel Connector for JIRA ribbon (1) and click Login to JIRA button and enter your credentials. Click Connect (2) and then OK on Confirmation dialog.

    • When asked if you want to replace the file, choose Yes. Excel sheet from JIRA will be replaced with sheet generated by Excel Connector.
