Since v3.2.0 of the add-on it is possible to perform additional operations on present reorder resources and activities in a Staffing Timeline macro resources and activities .
To do so simply Simply use drag and drop technique in an "Activities view" (1) for displacing activities and respectively "Resources view" (2) for resources to place it elsewhere (as in the below example for resource named "Zed"):
